59 were delighted to provide the video design for Blood/Love, an exhilarating new pop opera. This contemporary theatrical spectacle reinvents the classic vampire narrative, transporting audiences to the sultry, intoxicating atmosphere of a nightclub known as ‘The Crimson’.
The story centers on Valerie, the former queen of the underworld, who seeks a new existence beyond her eternal reign of bloodshed. Her endless night takes a dramatic turn when she encounters a mortal with his own hidden secret.
It was a fantastic project to collaborate on, featuring an original score and an acclaimed creative team, including Hunter Bird, one of the minds behind Masquerade and Jonathan and Oksana Platero – two celebrated choreographers from Dancing with the Stars. Our video projection design was significant in transforming the all-LED set into an intimate and intoxicating operatic experience.
Blood/Love is scheduled to run from March 3rd to 29th, with previews starting February 13th.
