Sting: My Songs

Vegas Residency

2021-23

One of the world’s most highly regarded and best-loved musicians

After several years of collaborating with Sting on his theatrical work, it was a privilege to work with him and his team on a flagship live show for his new residency at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, blasting its way out of the pandemic era to launch in October 2021.

Since writing Roxanne in a sultry Parisian hotel lobby in 1979, Sting has gone on to tour the globe for over four decades as one of the world’s most highly regarded and best-loved musicians.

This spectacular new residency on the iconic stage of The Colesseum transports Sting fans old and new on a whirlwind journey from this seminal songwriting moment through to the Las Vegas of today in a hit-fuelled set that also weaves in a handful of his most recent releases.

59 was asked to design and direct this new production, conjuring a dramatic and dynamic theatrical environment around the existing – and wildly successful – live touring show. Working alongside long-time Sting collaborator (Lighting Designer) Danny Nolan, our team designed a transformative physical world, augmented throughout with dazzling animation, projection and lighting.

Framing the stage design itself, Sting and his amazing band’s electric performances are brought closer to the audience through two towering video screens featuring intricate live camerawork composed and delivered by camera director Blue Leach.

The motion-controlled set was another collaboration with frequent 59 staging partners Tait Towers, suppliers of-the-moment to the world of Rock ‘n Roll.

Catch it while you can in Las Vegas, Nevada!
