Now open at the West End’s Phoenix Theatre and opening in Broadway in March 2025. Directed by Stephen Daldry and co-directed by Justin Martin, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a play written by Kate Trefry from an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Trefry. The story serves as a prequel to the events of the television series Stranger Things.

Set in Hawkins, Indiana, 1959, the world was brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, with 59 Productions leading on Video Design.

Accessible Viewings

There will be Captioned, Audio Described, and BSL performances of the play coming soon on the following dates:

Saturday 17th August 2024 – 13.00: British Sign Language Interpreted (BSL).

Sunday 18th August 2024 – 15.00: Audio Described.

Saturday 24th August 2024 – 13.00: Captioned.
