Completed in 2024, The Henderson Building is one of Hong Kong’s latest skyscraper buildings. The 41-storey tower was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and has already become an iconic landmark with its distinct curved exterior inspired by Hong Kong’s national flower, the Bauhinia flower.
59 Studio designed and produced seasonal video content for special events at the venue that was displayed onto the exterior screens across the facade of the building. We developed a style guide for the screens as well as designing and producing content for specific occasions, including Christmas, New Years, Chinese New Year and the Olympics.
The results were playful moments lighting up Hong Kong’s skyline for both passersby on street level as well as others across the local area who may gaze out of their own windows and witness the magic from afar. On an otherwise static glass facade, the screens elevate the building’s presence in the region, providing a unique way for The Henderson to market and communicate with the public.
